But you can call me Meg.
I’ve always loved cooking and baking. I keep a notebook in the kitchen where I write down my recipes. And ask my husband…I’ve only ever made one thing he didn’t like but it was butternut squash soup and it was a texture thing for him ;)
So starting to bake with sourdough wasn’t a stretch. In fact, it was something that came very naturally for me. We had a horrible start to 2023 that ended with me being hospitalized. Fortunately, I advocated for myself (which I shouldn’t have had to do) and I came out the other side alive, but lost.
In came Rowena, my sourdough starter. She brought back creativity and joy in my life. I found myself again through her and my home garden and I am so glad I did. In the process, I researched sourdough and was sooo confused by all the “rules” that I said, heck with this, I’m doing what I want.
And thus, Sourdough Rebel was born! And we’re here breaking all the rules and making sourdough simpler. Just because you have a busy life doesn’t mean you don’t have time for sourdough.
